Holistic Facial - What Is It?
The Holistic Facial is a perfect stand-alone treatment when you feel like your face needs that extra bit of pampering and is ideal for when your face needs that glow prior to a big event, such as a wedding, birthday party etc. Additionally, it is the perfect treatment to accompany Facial Reflexology.
Using organic products from Neal's Yard Remedies, your face is treated to a full facial sequence (including cleanser, exfoliant, mask, toner, serum and oil/moisturiser). Incorporating hot towels helps to open up the pores and assist the nourishing organic products to be absorbed into your skin.
A special addition of the Holistic Facial is a mini hand and scalp or foot reflexology treatment as the Neal's Yard Remedies face mask is setting - what better way to let go of all your stresses and feel rejuvenated?
Holistic Facial - Who Can It Help?
The Holistic Facial rejuvenates and regenerates the skin, helping your skin get back that healthy glow.
As with Facial Reflexology, working on the face can induce a state of total relaxation. Application and massage of the products into your skin will enhance circulation and, with the addition of hot towels, aid the flow of blood and lymph to any areas of congestion.
As you relax during the treatment, this goes hand in hand with lowering stress levels and encouraging peace of mind and total contentment.
What to Expect During an Holistic Facial Session?
The Holistic Facial treatment takes place on a massage couch, or can be performed with you in the Lafuma (reclining chair) should you prefer.
During the session, your face is treated to a full facial sequence, to include cleanser, exfoliant, mask, toner, serum and oil/moisturiser. Incorporating hot towels and a mini hand and scalp or foot reflexology treatment, it really is a blissful treatment.
You can remain clothed during this treatment as I only need access to the areas being treated (ie. neck, face, head area and hands or feet). Alternatively, you may prefer to remove your top. Whatever your preference, you will be kept warm under towels/blankets, so the choice is yours.
Ear Candling - What Is it?
Ear Candles are hollow tubes made of 100% natural ingredients - including organic cotton, beeswax, herbs, therapeutic oils and honey. The candles are lit - working one ear at a time. The lit candle acts like a chimney, causing the warm air inside to rise and creating a vacuum at the bottom of candle. The vacuum gently stimulates the ear and assists with the removal of excess wax and impurities and the therapeutic vapours are absorbed into your body, helping it to heal.
The Ear Candles do not suck wax out of the ear - what it does do is stimulate the ear to eliminate the wax naturally.
Like many other therapies, there are records of ancient cultures such as the Aztecs, Tibetans, Egyptians and Chinese using Ear Candling, and it is said the Ancient Greeks used them for purifying, cleansing and spiritual healing.

What to Expect During an Ear Candling Session?
The Ear Candling takes place with you lying on your side on the massage couch and with your head on a pillow. You can also remain fully clothed, however you will always be covered with blankets/towels to ensure you are kept warm.
Each candle contains a filter which prevents any candle residue from entering inside the ear. The candles are inserted gently into the ear and are held by me at all times. During the treatment, you may feel a slight warmth and hear crackling or hissing sounds. This is often relaxing and allows you to switch off.
Both ears are treated (taking approximately 8-12 minutes per ear). This is followed by a mini facial massage to additionally stimulate and assist with lymphatic drainage, thereby promoting the elimination of waste products from the body. The facial massage may use the facial cupping technique - more details of which can be found within the Zone Face Lift section. At the end of each treatment, the candles are opened and we examine the contents to help you gain insight into any imbalance and/or congestion within the body.
This treatment can be undertaken as a stand-alone session, or can be combined with other therapies.
Facial Cupping - What Is It?
Facial Cupping is growing in popularity as a non-invasive, cheaper and safer alternative to chemical and surgical procedures as a way of helping your face and skin look younger and can be used during a Zone Face Lift session as the ultimate facial treatment.
Not only beneficial as an anti-ageing treatment, there are medical ailments Facial Cupping may also assist you with. When used in conjunction with an Ear Candling session, the facial cups help stimulate lymphatic drainage and release facial tension.

What to Expect During a Facial Cupping Session?
The Facial Cups are small cone shaped tools made from silicone and I also work with glass facial cups too. There are various sized cups which can be used, however the two smaller sized cones are used upon the face.
Facial Cupping will be undertaken within the Ear Candling session (as part of the mini facial massage), or as part of the Zone Face Lift session. In both cases, you will be laying on the massage couch and organic Neal's Yard Remedies oil will have been applied to your face and neck, which prevents the cups from dragging the skin. When in use, the Facial Cups cause suction of the skin and are then used to glide over the contours of the chin, face and neck.
At all times you will be covered with blankets/towels to ensure you are kept warm and comfortable throughout.
